Not for the bridge beginner. Each week we will highlight a topic, a bidding sequence and analyze solutions for how the Opener and Responder communicate to reach the optimal contract.

Each session will start with an interactive session with each student involved in the decision making and analysis used to describe basic bids seen around a bridge game.

Students will follow up with "shuffle and deal" or practice playing for pleasure.

The instructor will be Jack Eng, a Gold Life Master, and has earned certification as an ACBL Best Practices Teacher. Having cruised with Nationally recognized Bridge Instructors, Larry Cohen and Robert Todd, he is adequately trained to improve your critical thinking skills at the bridge table.

Essential questions to be answered:

  • What is your shape?
  • How strong is your hand?
  • How many losers do you have? (Intro to Modern Losing Trick Count)
